Trend · Trends over time
Added from Insert on the editor’s rail; configure it in Card settings, in its Data and Format tabs.
When to use it
Section titled “When to use it”The chart for continuous change: one point per time bucket, connected. Multiple measures (or a Series dimension) compare trajectories; quick calcs add running totals, moving averages, or YoY % without new measures.
Field wells

Click a field in the Fields list, or drop it on the chart, and it goes to the well that fits it — see where a field goes. To choose the well yourself, drop the field on it or use its + Add field.
Measure wells carry a quick-calc dropdown (running total, YoY %, % of total, …); SquareX measures are listed with the fields, under Measures.
Format options that matter here
Section titled “Format options that matter here”- line width, style, markers
- straight segments between points by default, as a deck draws them; Smooth or Stepped if you choose
- log scale
- trend line & reference lines

- Don’t start the Y axis above zero for magnitude claims — set Y min/max deliberately.
