Connect DataAnalytics & Marketing
Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 is available in the connection wizard when the SaaS pipeline runner is enabled on your DataSquares server. Pulled by pipelines (Extract → SaaS); Test Connection checks the key shape and the Analytics endpoint.
Server prerequisite
Section titled “Server prerequisite”Google Analytics 4 data is pulled by the pipeline worker’s sandboxed connector runner,
which an administrator provisions and then enables with SAAS_RUNNER_ENABLED=true
on the API. Until then the wizard keeps the tile closed and says so; once it is
enabled, follow the steps below and Test Connection to verify the credential.
-
In DataSquares, open Data Sources and choose Connect Source. The Connect a data source page opens.
-
Pick Google Analytics 4 on that page (search or browse by category).
-
Fill in the connection details below, then test the connection and save.
Connection details
Section titled “Connection details”| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Property ID | The numeric GA4 property id (Admin → Property details). e.g. 123456789 |
| Service-account key (JSON) | Grant the service account Viewer on the property. |
Test Connection proves the credential where the vendor allows a cheap authenticated call; the data itself is pulled by a pipeline (Extract → SaaS), so this connection is not a SQL source you query directly.
