Connect DataBusiness Apps
Jira
Jira is available in the connection wizard when the SaaS pipeline runner is enabled on your DataSquares server. Pulled by pipelines (Extract → SaaS); Test Connection proves the token against your site.
Server prerequisite
Section titled “Server prerequisite”Jira data is pulled by the pipeline worker’s sandboxed connector runner,
which an administrator provisions and then enables with SAAS_RUNNER_ENABLED=true
on the API. Until then the wizard keeps the tile closed and says so; once it is
enabled, follow the steps below and Test Connection to verify the credential.
-
In DataSquares, open Data Sources and choose Connect Source. The Connect a data source page opens.
-
Pick Jira on that page (search or browse by category).
-
Fill in the connection details below, then test the connection and save.
Connection details
Section titled “Connection details”| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Site | The name from <site>.atlassian.net. e.g. acme |
| Account email | e.g. you@acme.com |
| API token | id.atlassian.com → Security → API tokens. |
Test Connection proves the credential where the vendor allows a cheap authenticated call; the data itself is pulled by a pipeline (Extract → SaaS), so this connection is not a SQL source you query directly.
