Use cases

Teams come to DataSquares with a job to do, not a feature list. Here is what they use it for, what each job looks like, and the page to start from.

Ask questions of your data and trust the answer

Section titled “Ask questions of your data and trust the answer”

Ask in plain language in AI chat — “which regions grew last quarter, and why?” — and get an answer built from your own data. Each answer shows what it rests on: the data it read, how fresh it is and what it assumed, so you can check it before you repeat it. The assistant can also build what it finds, and it never creates or changes anything without showing you an approval card first.

On any dashboard card, card insights explain a change between periods, flag unusual points, rank what drove a number and forecast a trend. The AI dashboard generator drafts a whole dashboard from one sentence.

Connect a source, define each measure once with SquareX, and lay out charts on the drag-and-drop canvas with filters, cross-filtering and drill-down. Governed metrics give every dashboard the same definition of “revenue”; certification and data quality checks tell people which numbers to rely on.

Upload spreadsheets and files — CSV, Excel, JSON — or connect databases, cloud warehouses and REST APIs through the guided wizard: 143 connectors in all. Large files import in the background. When the numbers you need live in different places, a blend joins up to five sources in one result, even across database engines.

Share a dashboard with a link or embed it in your own app. Row-level security means each viewer sees only the rows they are allowed to see — in the app, in shared links and in embeds. Embeds carry your logo and theme.

Schedule a report by email — daily, weekly, or driven by your data — and set metric alerts that notify you by email, in the app or through a webhook when a number crosses a line. Alerts are evaluated on the server under your data permissions, so nobody is told about rows they cannot see.

Sign in with your identity provider over SAML 2.0 or OIDC, provision users and groups with SCIM 2.0, require multi-factor authentication, and give people roles that match their work. The audit log records who did what, chained so tampering is detectable, and exports as a feed for your SIEM.

Build pipelines in the visual editor, as code, or by describing them to the AI assistant. Schedule runs, stream changes from source databases with CDC, and land the results in the Warehouse for your dashboards to read.
